Additional rules
Quiet Hours: 9 PM to 8 AM. Sound carries out here, especially when it’s a still night with no wind. Normal conversations can easily be heard a mile away. Please try to be mindful of this, especially during quiet hours.
Outdoor Lights: Please do not leave any outdoor lights on once you’ve gone in for the evening. Many of the people who live here full time moved here specifically for the ability to view the skies at night and every light adds to what we consider light pollution.
Fire Pit: Recreational fires are once again allowed on the property now that SB County has lifted the county wide burn ban. Small fires of 3 logs maximum are allowed in the fire pit when there is ZERO wind and only with constant supervision, which means 100% line of sight presence. If you go inside or leave, you must extinguish the fire. And by extinguish, we mean completely with no embers left smoldering.
Smoking: This is a smoke/vape free property. There is no smoking allowed indoors or out. If you’re a smoker, we regret to possibly lose your business, but our extreme sensitivities to the smokes and smells prevents us from being able to accommodate you. We hope you can appreciate and respect this limitation.
Pets: Regrettably, there are no pets allowed. We have determined that allowing pets in the trailer will do one of two things, both are not good. Either it will greatly increase our cleaning costs, beyond profitability, or it will greatly limit our prospective guests, many of whom like us have allergies, again, beyond profitability. Hopefully, you pet owners can make some kind of arrangements for your loved ones while you are in the area. There are pet boarding facilities with a 5-minute drive of our property.
Stock tank pool: You may enjoy the pool throughout the day and into the night (year-round), weather permitting. We do have a heater, but it’s not for warming the water during winter. We tried, but the set up proved inadequate for this task. The heater is to extend our pool season into the spring and fall, as it’s only realistically capable of bringing water temperatures up by about 10 degrees. So, just to be clear, this is not a hot tub and the pool is not heated in the winter months (Nov-March).
